Privacy Policy

Freedom Fast is a mobile application for iOS and Android designed to help you track intermittent fasting, monitor biological fasting stages, log health metrics, and review your progress over time.

This Privacy Policy explains our data practices for the Freedom Fast mobile application and the freedomfast.ca website. If you have any questions, contact us at support@freedomfast.ca.

All data you create within the app — including fasting sessions, health measurements, settings preferences, and streak history — is stored locally on your device using your device's secure local storage (AsyncStorage). This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is never transmitted to our servers (we don't have any for user data)
• Is never sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party
• Is accessible only to you and the Freedom Fast app on your device

Freedom Fast stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Fasting sessions — start time, end time, duration, fasting type, completion status, and optional notes
• Health metrics — weight, waist measurements, water intake, electrolyte logs, blood glucose readings, ketone levels, and mood ratings entered voluntarily per day
• App settings — theme preference (dark/light/system), unit preferences (imperial/metric), timer format, and feature toggles
• Streak data — current streak count and longest streak, derived from your local fasting history

You can delete any or all of this data at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the application.

Freedom Fast can optionally send you a local push notification when your fasting goal is reached. This feature is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.

These notifications are generated and delivered locally by your device's operating system — they are not routed through our servers. No personal information is transmitted as part of this process.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's system settings or within the app.

We do not use any of the following in the Freedom Fast app:

• Analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
• Advertising networks or ad identifiers (IDFA/GAID)
• Crash reporting tools that transmit user data externally
• Social media tracking pixels or SDKs
• Behavioral tracking or session recording

Our website at freedomfast.ca is a static marketing site hosted on Vercel. Standard server access logs (IP address, page accessed, referrer, user agent) may be retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and abuse prevention purposes, consistent with Vercel's Privacy Policy.

We do not place any tracking cookies on our website. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar analytics service.

Freedom Fast is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no user data at all, this risk is minimal by design.

Because your data is stored only on your device, the security of your fasting and health data depends primarily on the security of your device itself. We recommend:

• Using a passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint lock on your device
• Keeping your operating system up to date
• Using your device's built-in encrypted backup (iCloud / Google Backup) if you want to preserve your data across devices

Since all your data lives on your device, you are always in complete control:

• Access — all your data is visible within the app at all times
• Export — the app may include export features; exported files remain under your control
• Deletion — clear app data via your device settings, or uninstall the app to remove all stored data permanently

There is no account to delete because there is no account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

Continued use of Freedom Fast after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
